Binary package hint: indicator-sound

Sound indicator show two instances of banshee (i assume only one is installed). By default i had rythmbox, so banshee is installed manually.

May be one other issue is part of this bug:
banshee update song information and cover for banshee and for rhythbox too.

the first part of this bug of having multiple banshee's entry seems to be an update bug. To rectify could you please run this command from the terminal.

gsettings reset com.canonical.indicators.sound interested-media-players

This should set the number of players listed in the menu back to the default player for natty (Banshee). By running Rhythmbox or any other compliant player the service will store these in gsettings so as the menu will at all times list the players that you use.

After todays update: banshee update info only for banshee
and gsettings reset working too. but after reset i have only banshee no rythmbox.

This is to be expect fishor, the reset will remove all players from the 'interested-players' list besides banshee (because this is default for Natty).

I cannot reproduce the second part of this problem with the new release.

If you mean the problem with banshee updating info for banshee and rhythmbox, then yes it is fixed.
