Bug Description

Binary package hint: unity

when starting "ubuntu desktop edition" without proper 3D support you get a dialog saying:

Sorry, you don't have 3d support, install it for your graphic hardware to get Unity or please reboot and select 'Classic session' at startup.

in fact it is not necessary to reboot, it is sufficient to log out. I don't like those "windows" habits to be amplified by careless wording

Thanks for reporting this bug and help to make ubuntu better.

However, the wording changed yesterday with latest gnome-session uploads to:
"It seems you don't have the hardware requirement to run unity. Installing new driver can maybe be an help.\nYou should try the Ubuntu classic session to directly get the traditional interface."

I'll then mark this bug as invalid. Do not hesitate to report further bug.

is that supposed to be in effect right now? Installation from the current daily still gives the version I reported.
