Binary package hint: update-manager

Distribution upgrade from Lucid (10.04) to Maverick (10.10) failed for console upgrade. Output follows:

I got the same error using do-release-upgrade to upgrade from jaunty to karmic. I've attached the command line output and the dist-upgrade log files below.
