Bug Description

Binary package hint: brasero

"SCSI error on write(16,16): [3 73 03] Power calibration area error"
That such an error when trying to burn a disk image from a network drive (samba)

I have reported bug 746958, which I think is the same as this, but I am not sure, and also my report contains a lot more information. I could mark my report as a duplicate of this one...but perhaps it would be better to mark this one as the duplicate. What do you think?

Thanks for the report, it has been some time without any response or feedback in this bug report and we are wondering if this is still an issue for you with the latest release of Ubuntu the Natty Narwhal, May you please test with that version and comment back if you're still having or not the issue?
