Bug Description
Binary package hint: lastfm
On my Maverick amd64 system, launching Last.fm (lastfm package version 1:1.5.4.
Last.fm was unable to start accepting tracks from the plugin for your media player.
Details: Accept socket connection failed. Socket error: 4
A screenshot of the error is attached to this report. No external audio player is running when this error occurs, but I rarely have last.fm and another audio player running at the same time, so this is not evidence that the error cannot occur when an external player is running. Note that this error only happens occasionally; most of the time I launch Last.fm, there is no other audio player running, and this error message is not displayed. The audio player I use most often, audacious2, doesn't use the last.fm application to scrobble tracks to the last.fm service (it uses its own self-contained plugin). Dismissing the error message by clicking OK yields a functional Last.fm (at least for streaming tracks).
If this error message is not erroneous, then it seems to me that it ought to display a message that is more informative to people who are not familiar with the Last.fm player's internal workings.
