Bug Description

Mint-10 Julia - Gnome - LiveDVD

I am just starting to use Mint-10 Gnome LiveDVD especially because of the installed DVD player support, which Mint-8 lacks. I was doing some work on the internet and got to a point where I wanted to save a particular window image to a temporarily inserted CF card, but when I hit the traditional key combination <Alt><Print Screen> NOTHING happened. (Oh, Joy!) The <Print Screen> key alone DID work and I was able to save an image of the entire screen, but I really only wanted a small window that was open at the time. This problem is constant ... I have never gotten anything to happen any time I have used the <Alt><Print Screen> key combination. I have tried both <Alt> keys, and I have tried <Shift> and <Ctrl>, but I have not found any way to to a "Print Window" as opposed to a "Print Screen" (which works fine).

What happened to <Alt><Print Screen> - I have used this for a zillion years ??? Or am I doing something wrong ???

Release: 10 (julia)
Edition: Gnome 32-bit
LiveDVD (not installed to disk)

The same thing happens. but this was initially not the trouble. It occurred only after I by mistake altered <Print Screen> button on Keyboard Shortcut. Now neither <Print Screen> nor <Alt> + <Print Screen>

Although Linux Mint Provides "Take A Screenshot" - titled apps but obviously a shortcut key is preferred

Since I am running off of a ROM system, each time I power up and boot I
should have a perfectly initialized system, and I have tried the key
combination many times. Have you ever been able to do an <Alt><Print
Screen> on an LM10 system? In particular, a LiveDVD Gnome System? Not
having a screen/window dump to file is intolerable for my usage.

Blessings in abundance, all the best, and ENJOY!

I get the same result. <PrintScreen> works. <Alt><PrintScreen> not at all.
