Bug Description

Binary package hint: xul-ext-adblock-plus

I am using Ubuntu 10.04.1 LTS and due to different reasons i wanted to change my username. So i used usermod to change the username and the home-directory to a new name (i did this while the concerned user was logged out, of course).
After that, the adblock-plus icon in firefox was gone.

Previously (before i renamed my user) i had installed adblock-plus through synaptic, so i guess adblock-plus should actually be available for any user.

After that I reinstalled adblock-plus through synaptic, and i deactivated and activeated adblock-plus through the add-on-menu in firefox, then it was working again.

I understand that this is a very minor problem, and probably a very uncommon use-case (renaming the user). However, i think this bug might be a hint that adblock is e.g. storing some absolute pathname to the home-directory or something similar (which it of course should not do), so that it stopped working after renaming the user. Maybe it would be worthwhile to examine this bug from this point of view.
