Bug Description

Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-intel

When resuming from suspend to RAM, compositing in KWin stops working; I get a black screen with only the cursor showing. The desktop seems to work still, but I can't see anything. If I turn compositing off (Alt+Shift+F12 or running on battery) things work fine.

My problems seem similar to bug 421736

I have the same bug, but a NVIDIA card, with nvidia proprietary drivers.
Btw, I noticed that it happens whenever the screen saver is locked (password required).
I do not use any OpenGL screen saver, just the analogical clock screen saver.
I always used kwin --replace as a workaround
