Bug Description
When I would like to go to www.pkgsrc.se; www.netbsd.org or www.freebsd.org websites,
I get this message : "Cannot connect to destination"
However, if I set up tor + privoxy and I would like to access on www.pkgsrc.se and others, midori can access to these websites.
The same if I take the IP addresses about pkgsrc.se and others websites - midori can get an access.
Machine:
NetBSD 5.0.2
webkit-gtk 0.1.2
midori 0.2.4
libsoup24-2.28.2

I agree with argafal that it does "feel" like a resolving issue. I do however not have the issue with firefox installed on the same computer.
Chets, what makes you assume that this is an issue of midori? It sounds like a problem with your domain name resolving.... Might be a good idea if you try the same with GtkLauncher and probably another browser, if you have, and report whether it worked or not.

I have the same problem with some websites. I to get the message "Cannot connect to destination" followed by a button which says something like "try again". Clicking this button most of the time resolves the issue. Another issue is that some larger pages (like planet.
I run midori 0.2.4, using GTK+ 2.18.7 and WebKitGTK+ 1.1.15 on an Acer Aspire One A110 with archlinux. The problem first occured to me about a month ago. Googling around I did indeed update my DNS-servers but it did not resolve the problem.

Oh, and I can't reproduce the error on specific sites, but I just noticed it says "Cannot resolve hostname" in the message, just before the "try again" button. I am not sure whether this is the same issue as the original posters.

I'm using Google's DNS (for IP address : 8.8.8.8) but if I set DNS of my ISP, same thing.
If I type : telnet www.google.fr 80; it runs. In fact, any programs run correctly (about dns) except midori, which can't found SOME domain names. I noticed that's runs properly with firefox.
From GtkLauncher, I get this same message.

Apparently, this problem is known under NetBSD but is not yet resolved.
