Close button on dialogs has no effect

Bug Description
When building from trunk, I've noticed the close button on the app dialogs does not close the dialog; the esc button still does. This is happening on both my Mac and Linux systems.

This seems to be an issue when running from an IDE. When the app is installed, it does work. But when run from Xcode or Creator, it does not. Very odd.
