gschem: Do down-schematic on doubleclick to sub sheet symbol

Currently, the following sequence of actions is necessary to descend a level in a hierarchical design:

1) select the desired sub sheet symbol

2) left-click on menu "Hierarchy"

3) left-click on menu item "Down-Symbol"

Alternatively:

2a) Type [shift-H]

3a) Type [s]

This is a bit of a hassle when working with multiple pages and more than two layers of hierarchy. Navigation of a hierarchical design would be vastly improved, if down-schematics could be triggered with a single mouse action. Suggestion: Do down-schematic on double mouse click modified by pressing the shift key.

This is a tricky one.. what about attributes attached to the sub-sheet symbol. We can't really have one behaviour for one type of object (edit attributes), and another for sub-sheets (hierarchy -> down schematic).

I agree that hierarchy browsing should be made easier, but I also agree with Peter Clifton that the double-click behaviour should be kept consistent.

I really don't think that overloading double-clicking for this purpose is appropriate.

I notice (now) that KMK's original suggestion was "double mouse click modified by pressing the shift key."

That doesn't match either of our objections - so perhaps we should reconsider this.

While at it:
Let's add a shortcut to "down-symbol", too. Double-click modified with [ctrl] seems reasonable to me.

I'd also be fine with middle mouse click and right mouse click for the two down actions. However, one might argue, that these bindings should be reserved for some more generic actions. E, g, a menu to select likely actions on right click.
