float option not available in GUI

Binary package hint: network-manager-openvpn

Trying to connect to my DDwrt router with openvpn. Running Maverick 10.10 with openVPN. I noticed that I cannot set the 'float' option when setting this VPN up in Network Manager. This has been ongoing since 8.04, I am pretty sure. There have been local patches and even a launchpad patch at one time (now a dead link) to add a check box on the 'advanced' page. Can this be put on the list?

Seems this hasn't been addressed (tested on Kubuntu 14.10), but there is a small hack that can be used to set float. However, it will affect *ALL* OpenVPN clients:

sudo mv /usr/sbin/openvpn /usr/sbin/openvpn.binary
sudo echo "#\!/bin/sh
exec /usr/sbin/openvpn.binary --float $*" > /usr/sbin/openvpn
sudo chmod 755 /usr/sbin/openvpn

What might be the easiest way to solve this would be to add and "Extra values" text box to allow any random values to be passed that may be required.
