Can somebody else please confirm this bug? For me everything is displayed all right. Any ideas about what could be wrong in the code?

Actually, when January is selected only dates of January are displayed. The end of month is just displayed in the beginning to save space. For me it seems that the dates of January are shifted one day forward on the screenshot, because 1st of January has to be Saturday, but on the Screenshot it is Sunday. Am I correct?

Actually we should unfix it, because I think it was not a bug. It was design choice of the original author of the ClearCalendar and it would be nice to respect that choice.

We can convert it to a feature request to make the way of displaying dates a configuration option.

#4 Oh, in Greek days are numbered from Sunday. Didn't think about that.

#6 I implemented configuration option to switch between compact and normal calendar display in revision 666. The new version 0.4.3 should be available in PPA in next 24h. Maybe backgrounds for themes still need to be shifted a bit, it would be good if somebody can check that out...

Actually, no, in Greek days should be numbered from Monday, as correctly happens eg in Evolution. No idea why this is like that here, I thought it was designed like that. Anyway, not an important issue at all apparently and thanks for the rapid response.

I meant numbers in day names like this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Week-day_names#Weekdays_numbered_from_Sunday

So the "Δευτέρα" means the second, but is actually the first day of the week? That's cool.

Anyway, the version in PPA should take the local first day of the week settings into account. So I believe it shall write Δε for the first day of the week and not Δευ for the second day. Its from the updates I made yesterday. I hope it works.

And thanks for reporting! If you didn't, nobody would have cared...

Welcome, that's what community is about I guess. Me thank you for the support. And yeah, the name of the day I believe is left from before the transition of the calendars once upon a time. In fact (a quick trivia), Δεύτερη (d'efteri) is the second in modern Greek, Δευτέρα (deft'era) is an old form that now only represents the day name.

fatlp, I have looked now in the code, this actually is not a bug. In options there is checkbox named Compact calendar. When it's checked it will draw numbers that should be in 6th row, it will draw it in first. Uncheck that checkbox and it would work normal.

Even some real printed calendars use that kind of design. It's a cultural thing, I suppose. In some regions it's not common at all.
