Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-app-install

It seems that gnome-app-install does not install the correct i18n packages for applications of other desktop environments other than GNOME.

I consider this being a bad thing for the user-friendlyness of Ubuntu.

To reproduce, install e.g. k3b on a fresh Ubuntu installation. When you start k3b, you will not get it in another language than English. Instead, you have to manually install kde-i18n-* first.

If k3b package would recommend translations, we would get all the translations (for all languages) by automagic, which might a
problem for the cd.

you are wright about the CD edition but it doesn't work even with DVD or with a local pool in the network. The proper kde translation must be called for install by k3b-i18n
