Bug Description

Binary package hint: gwibber

Sometimes gwibber finds itself unable to send a message (see e.g. bug 696445). There's no warning shown to the user that that's the case, and the message itself is lost forever.

Gwibber should store outgoing messages in persistent storage somewhere, and allow the users to retrieve or attempt to resend them if those messages cannot be sent in a reasonable amount of time (say, 5 minutes?).

I'm amazed to see how sucha a serious data-loss bug can be relegated to Wishlist importance.

Since this bug report is a feature request that is not implemented yet in gwibber I marked as a wishlist one , any way I am totally agree with you, this should be a needed feature to prevent lost sent messages (in a kind of Draft area like Gmail if the message cannot be send) so please if you or any one can provide us a patch to fix problemis we appreciated.

I get your point, but I see the bug as a bug report that also has a suggestion for a feature. If we ignore the suggestion it's a bug report and should be assigned an importance that makes it more likely to be fixed. I'm only worried that because of the "Wishlist" classification it will not be addressed.
