Bug Description

the settings at boot for the language and the keyboard aren't save on livecd use,
i have seen another bug with e17genmenu we failed

E17genmenu is deprecated and will be removed from Ebuntu. Actually, E17 uses .desktop and is compliant with the default .desktop files (so can use the Gnome , KDe ... .desktop)

The boot language issue must be patched, i'll work on it next week.

Maybe you should edit the bug description and mark it as affecting upstream: ubuntu edgy as it's pointless to keep an open bug that we can't fix and is actually caused by ubuntu itself

so, the bugs seems to be due to bad work with initramfs .
I've remade it for the beta release, and it seems to works.
I'll close this bug after beta will be released.
