Tranmission badge helper not working

I enabled the transmission badge helper but it seems to not be working. I'm not sure what the problem is. I'm using the latest transmission from their own ppa (ppa:transmissionbt/ppa), maybe that's why it's not working.

Did you enable the Web Client in transmission's properties?

Oh, I forgot to mention that. I did enable it and it's in the port it requires to be (9091). I did check if it works and it does, I can see from my browser and even from other computer's browsers.

If you guys need some other information please let me know... I really would like to see this working

I decided to downgrade Transmission to the default in Maverick due to the fact that the latest version doesn't have built-in support for Proxy. And in this version (2.04) the Helper works and show correctly the download speed of Transmission.

The problem is that the desktop item name changes between the official Ubuntu version of Transmission and the PPA version, so you have to change the desktop item name from "transmission.desktop" to "transmission-gtk.desktop" on (about) line 169 of transmission-badge.py in the .endswith() method call. The badge helper is now working for me on Natty after making that change.
