I have also tried this.

I placed a DVD movie into my PC, and selected the 'play in movie player' feature in the auto-run pop-up.
After doing this, movie player opened, but an error box appeared stating "Could not read from resource".

N.B. The movie works fine on Windows Media Player, using Windows XP, but not on Ubuntu.

Simon
