Bug Description
Binary package hint: xorg
Using 10.10, I cannot "extend my desktop to a second monitor" (in windows speak) I used to be able to do this with 10.04!
Start Monitor Preferences from System-
Uncheck "Same image in all monitors"
Click Apply, or Click Make Defualt
A Dialouge box pops up stating "Please log out and log back in again"
Click ok on the Dialoge box
Log off and then back in and both monitors still have the same image.
Repeating the steps again does not rectify the problem.
Restarting does not make any difference.

I have managed to get it working now, the only way I could get it to work was by connecting the second screen after Ubuntu had started. I still had to log out and back in again 3 times though!
