Bug Description

Binary package hint: libsvn-javahl

Under Dapper, I had Eclipse installed with the subclipse plugin to access Subversion repositories. I had the javaHL 'adaptor' installed so that subclipse can use the java API for SVN.

I had only the Sun JRE installed, because gij gave very poor performance: slow and memory hungry.

I do not have a record of exactly which packages were installed.

After upgrading to Edgy, both the subclipse plugin and the javaHL were not available any more. subclipse was installed by eclipse, so I can accept that I might have to reinstall that manually.

When I tried to install package libsvn-javahl, it insisted that I also install the following packages:
   gcj-4.1-base gij gij-4.1 libgcj-bc libgcj-common libgcj7-0

I do not want to install these packages; I have a perfectly good JRE.

Package libsvn-javahl has a dependency on gij OR java1-runtime.

There should be optional dependencies on all other JREs too.

libsvn-javahl should or-depend on java2-runtime, it seems.
