Bug Description

Using Stellarium 10.6 in Mac OS X 10.6, when the projection is set to Hammer-Aitoff, the Spheric Mirror distortion is turned on, and the up arrow is pressed so the azimuth is dead ahead, there is a flickering dark-yellow arc that appears. If I press the down arrow, the arc gets smaller then finally disappears. If I press the up arrow to get the azimuth into the center, the flickering arc reappears.

This only happens in Hammer-Aitoff projection. All other projections are fine. This artifact also occurs when Spheric Mirror distortion is turned off but appears as a flickering horizontal line. I was able to replicate this on an iMac and a MacBook.

Log.txt is as follows:

2010-12-30T12:30:36
Mac OS X 10.6
Compiled with GCC 4.0.1
Qt runtime version: 4.7.0
Qt compilation version: 4.7.0
Addressing mode: 32-bit
You look like a Mac user. How would you like to write some system info code here? That would help a lot.

I don't able to replicate this on my iMac.

I'm using Mac OS X 10.6.5 with Intel Graphics Card (OpenGL supported version: "1.4 APPLE-1.6.24")

Alexander, thanks.

Can anyone else replicate this? I was able to replicate this on three Macs. One of the iMacs has the following graphics card:

ATI Radeon HD 4670

It's one of the newer HD (1920 x 1080) iMacs.

Yes, I can, but only under those very specific conditions. If I turn of the mirror distortion, I do not see it, and when I turn the mirror distortion back on, it is gone. It also is not there if I move in any other directions from the up-arrow key.
