Bug Description
Binary package hint: gdm
Ubuntu netbook 10.10 i386
gdm 2.30.5-0ubuntu
This netbook release comes with a gdm config tool that seems to be able to switch off the annoying drum sound at gdm start. The machine was clean installed with 10.10 unity netbook, the drum sound is disabled in the gdm config tool, but it is drumming all time gdm is ready.
If we have a tool for that, it should be functional. I hate the drum sound, much in silent environments.

Please have a look at http:// www.ubuntu. com/download to know how to install that version. Thanks in advance and sorry for the late response.
