Bug Description
I've upgraded to Ubuntu 10.10 recently, and I am experiencing problems with my PC which runs an integrated ATI Radeon 2100 display adapter. After a while (can be everything between some minutes to 1-2 hours) the display suddenly becomes unreadable, showing white horizontal stripes all over the screen.
I've tried to shutdown X with Ctrl-Shift-Return, but that didn't work. I've also managed one time to get the screen blank, with just the cursor showing (without the stripes) by pressing ESC, but when pressing any other key, the stripes keep coming back.
The system is still running and responsive, e.g. music playing in the background and I've managed to do shutdown.
The problem is specific to the 10.10 version, I have not experienced i before with 10.04, or Windows which runs in a dual boot partition.
Display: Samsung 206BW, 1680x1050.
