Bug Description
Right now the battery indicator aborts if I don't have GNOME panel installed. This is unfortunate because it actually runs well without it. So it can for example be used in Xfce.

I made a small change to handle the case of a missing 'gnomeapplet' module. An error message is printed if not using --indicator or --window. And it recommends --indicator if installed.
