Bug Description
Working on a Dell Inspiron 6400
2Gb DDR2
Centrino Duo Core
wireless card 1394
Ubuntu 6.10
My computer behaved perfectly for the first few days using Edgy and then very often hangs during boot. Recovery mode boot shows that the problem is happening during wireless configuration.
017179598.488 BUG Softlockup detected on cpu#0
Completely stuck at that point. After several (>10) re-boots (!!!) eventually starts up.
Checked in connexion config pannel, the wireless is gone...
Several people already reported similar behaviour in the forums but there is no solution proposed.
Thanks for bug smashing!
