msn avatar not accepted

Bug Description

Binary package hint: empathy

MSN avatar is just not accepted.

Full description:

1. Initial status: no avatar is displayed.

2. I go to Edit -> Personal Information.

3. I click on the avatar icon, and another window is opened to browse for picture.

4. I browse to and select an image wanted for avatar and the image is displayed in the Personal Information window.

5. I press Close.

6. No avatar is set, and when I go back to Personal Information window, the previously selected image is gone.

I have linked this report to the upstream one and I can confirm that this issue is reproduced under latest release included in Maverick. Please if you can leave a comment and provide those log files would be appreciate it. Thanks

just closed the upstream bug since the issue is in papyon and seems fixed with 0.5.4 here. there is already a launchpad bug report
