Hi,

mbget won't work w.o. python-musicbrainz (since it imports it). And OTOH nothing within lastfmsubmitd directly imports ctypes, so the current recommends is right.

The problem however is, that libmusicbrainz-2.1 doesn't build python-musicbrainz any longer, and thus this package is not available any more. And now guess why it has been dropped: Because the package is in main, and ctypes (which python-musicbrainz would require to work) is in universe and you cannot have dependencies from main on universe packages.

This is a little bit of an awkward situation, and I don't see any good way of fixing this bug within lastfmsubmitd.

-> also affects libmusicbrainz-2.1

Cheers,

You are right, mbget uses musicbrainz module (which I installed locally and forgot about it). So only one issue is here - dependency on unavailable package.

Sorry for untested "bug" about ctypes.
