kpackagekit doesn't start after update to kde 4.6 rc

 have update my kubuntu maverick to kde 4.6 rc1.

now, when i try to start kpackagekit, it crash.
i can't start it.

I have been trying to build this from source - no luck because it apparently depends on a newer version of PackageKit than Maverick provides. I tried using the Fedora rpm, but alien was being persnickety and I couldn't build a deb. For now I'm using aptitude, but a Maverick package would be *greatly* appreciated!!
