Debconf fails to update libnss-ldap.conf

Binary package hint: libnss-ldap

On a fresh edgy install, I entered correct information into the debconf forms. These were not written to libnss-ldap.conf. I tried dpkg-reconfigure with the same result -- the default file is still there untouched. Everything worked fine after hand editing libnss-ldap.conf.

libnss-ldap is in Universe - has nothing to do with Desktop.

Confirmed here with version 251-5.2 . It seems to update the uri correctly, but not the base.

I can confirm this (with the latest available release for edgy) as well and I really think, that it is a serious bug. I mean what's the point in querying the BASE with debconf, if it is not put into use?
