Bug Description

Binary package hint: cheese

settings in gstreamer plugin for output x windows system x11/xshm/xv device default pipeline xvimagesink
for input plugin video for linux2 (v4|2) device acer crystal eye webcam pipeline v4|2src device="/dev/video0"

the above settings seem to work most often and best however not always and sometimes only not in cheese or sometimes not in gstreamer ive edited both gksu gstreamer and gstreamer properties have restarted both before and after testing cheese and have reinstalled both cheese and gstreamer I've never had such inconsistency with cheese in other ubuntus or distros

i can most of the time lately reproduce this issue in some form or another how ever can only guess which form the issue will take
so if i test gstreamer ill get Video for Linux 2 (v4l2): Error starting streaming on device '/dev/video0'. sometimes and others it will work if i test cheese ill get nothing after testing gstreamer working or not and others ill get a cheese picture as expected

if i change the mentioned settings i may record a too slow video but all else is fine or nothing at all to a sign which mentions no device detected

under running cheese --varbose now that nothing is working ill get
Cheese 2.32.0
libv4l2: error turning on stream: Input/output error

i haven't tried cheese --verbose in other settings yet
though tomorrow cheese may work fine for a time ill have to see what that output is then less it fails again
