Which Ubuntu version are you running (Dapper, Edgy, etc.?) Where did you get the flash plugin? Was it from the Ubuntu repos, or a third party site such as Adobe? Did you use any automated scripts (easyubuntu, automatix) to install flash? Having more info and specifics would be much appreciated.

Sorry, I tried to attach the crash report but the file is too big (about 20mb).

This happens with Ubuntu Edgy. I have the same problem with flash 7 from the repositories and flash 9 beta downloaded from Adobe.

This problem didn't happen in Dapper.

I attach the smaller report.

Thanks

eze80 - Does the crash occur when you right click on a Flash animation? Or does it occur when you simply right click *anywhere*?

Hi, it happens all the time every time I right click anywhere on the flash application.

I think I found that this is related to the x server I'm using (I am running over a nested xephyr server) but I have no idea why is this and I don't know if this is a flash bug, a firefox bug or a xephyr bug.

Thank you

So, *Flash* is specifically a part of the problem equation then, right?
I know that, when I right click on a Flash object, sometimes my whole
system gets bogged down for a period of time, so I wouldn't find this
issue surprising.

Is there any way you can test this via a "normal" X session? I suspect
it's a Flash problem, in any case.

Thanks.

Yes, I tested it in a normal X session and it works fine.

The problem only happens with this type of sessions (I am using a multiseat configuration). I think the problem is the right button menu, that is different from the one of firefox.

The problem is I don't know how to debug this, I have the strong feeling that there is some library that flash uses that is conflicting with xephyr (because I have a similar, but not the same, problem with some kde programs).

I am willing to help, but I never debugged a program that wasn't mine. :D

Thank you

This also happens in Backtrack and Backtrack 2, two SLAX-based distros.
