Bug Description

There is currently no way to mark a sender as "trusted" for loading external images. I'd like to be able to decide to always allow a particular sender to display images in their mails.

I was thinking more along the lines of having two buttons like Gmail does it. One button "Show images" and another "Always Show images from $SENDER". This way its a single click either way you choose.

Something like a tick box 'Always show images from this sender'?

I would like to postpone this while we don't store any sender-specific information and see what else makes sense to associate with a sender.

I could make a column to store this in Dexter, does that make any sense??

Allen, I'm not sure if that would make sense. In this way, we could potentially have a dbus service so that other applications can add columns to Dexter :p

Are you serious? You want me to look into that?

haha, no that's what I meant. If we say its proper for Postler to store Postler specific contact data in Dexter, then why is it not appropriate for any app to store their specific contact data in Dexter? :p

well, I thought of a way to let any app that wants to, store a limited
amount of custom data about contacts in Dexter, should we look into that at
all?

This makes me wonder just now: does having a contact of someone imply that I trust him and he is not a junk bot or advertising company?

On the other hand: what if I'm on wireless and would prefer to avoid extra images downloads?

Postler has a table 'senders' now which is automatically collected to display consistent names for people not in the address book. I think we could store a boolean in there to solve implement this feature.

While on the subject I would really love a way to always load images from all senders. I really don't care about the saved bandwidth or security that come with the images not being loaded by default, I usually trust everything I open and if I don't then I delete it. Maybe make a gconf value to enable this, or some sort of preferences window.

BTW Elementary OS is freaking awesome, I can't wait till the next release!
