Bug Description

I'm not an expert with web technologies, but I would love to see the same smooth zooming in helioviewer.org as the one we experience every day when using google maps. When zooming, the "low resolution" tiles are just zoomed on client side until the "high resolution" tiles arrive from the server.

Sorry for putting it directly into the bug tracker - it was just some idea I had some time ago ;-)

I actually had the same idea as you. the only reason it hasn't already been done is because I haven't had the time :\
When I have some free time over a weekend I'll start playing around with this and see how hard it would be to add.
