On Precise:

Install: libconsole:i386 (0.2.3dbs-65.1ubuntu2, automatic), console-tools:i386 (0.2.3dbs-65.1ubuntu2)
Remove: kbd:i386 (1.15.2-3ubuntu4), ubuntu-minimal:i386 (1.267), console-setup:i386 (1.70ubuntu5)

This makes the system unusable, i.e. user won't be no more provided graphical login, tough.

Why this behaviour?
I can provide more info if needed.
