Bug Description

I have the latest updates for 10.10 on the laptop. I have been having trouble for the last few months with the screensaver. When the computer goes idle for the allotted time it does not activate the screen saver. It instead jumps to locking me out and killing all of the programs that I was working on. Several times I have lost presentations or word docs because I have to leave the computer for a few minutes. I have tried changing the config file so that there is a delay between the lock out screen and the screensaver. I have turned off the lock out option in the screen saver menu. I have check and rechecked the power settings. I am no closer than I was before to solving this. I teach and there are several times in the past week that I have lost the presentation because I was demonstration something and the computer went into the lock out screen and I had to restart everything. Is this a bug or am I missing a fix somewhere?

Sometimes it even doesn't wait for some time, but the system just keeps logging out in the middle of the work

Which screensaver are you using? Perhaps it is a bug with the particular images beings displayed.

It has not mattered which screensaver. I have used the default ubuntu
feet as well as the floating ubuntu logo. I would like to use the GL
screen savers but with this issue I have not. I have also tried the
blank screen option and the same thing happens. I have a toshiba laptop
which this is on so maybe it is something int he rom code of the laptop
which is causing the problems. This did not happen before I loaded ver
10.

I am stacked with torrents in windows so I can't check, but I believe the problem was gone after the update of the operating system. It is worth of trying.
BTW I didn't have ANY screen saver and the problem was still appearing
