Splash Screen

Since the installation my splash screen when start or stop ubuntu is in Black and Grey.

I'm on laptop ACER 9302

i try to change vga value on grub. nothing do...

i try vga=771 in grub menu.lst and the text (i delete Quiet mode) is now
light blue.
But the splash screen is at left all... Always grey and black for the
ubuntu logo and progression bar

Hello Brian. On amd64 the splash screen will be grayscale.
