Bug Description
Binary package hint: xnee
I'm not sure if this is a bug in xnee or in xorg: gnee and cnee do not record any events under Ubuntu Maverick, whereas they work fine under Ubuntu Lucid.
I tried also the latest xnee release (version 3.07) from http://
I attached the output of cnee for both releases.
When you compare both outputs you see the following differences:
1) the following 2 lines appear only under Lucid:
Workaround: Creating context on data display instead of control
You can ignore this message
2) moreover there are the following differences:

This is fixed in the coming release of GNU Xnee.
I can reproduce the behaviour you're describing (noting recorded) in Maverick with Xnee 3.07
With the latest CVS Head Xnee works again.
We have a Fedora build issue to sync with building on Debia/Ubuntu and then we'll go for relasing Xnee 3.08
If you want to test a late version of Xnee meanwhile, go for the latest non official dist: itupw056. itu.chalmers. se/xnee/ nightly- dists/xnee- cvs-20110125. tar.gz
