Bug Description

I have a no-name laptop from app. 2003.
The synaptics touchpad worked well with Dapper 6.06, but the mouse froze and jumped with Edgy 6.10 final.

So I used the xorg.conf of 6.06. Now it works great.

I can confirm this is the case. I didn't download any cd's until edgy was released now I have done a fresh install my synaptic mouse doesn't scroll and isn't installed in xorg.conf but in updates from dapper this worked correctly.
