Bug Description
Forwarding a bug report from IRC:
01:27 < Guest410> i keep getting "SCLang illegal instruction"
02:10 < Guest410> is there any way of making it work on an amd athlon xp 3000 :) ?
02:16 < claude> the build log says: NOTICE: cross compiling for another platform: assuming SSE support
02:17 < claude> and also: -msse -mfpmath=sse -msse2 -DNOVA_SIMD
02:18 < claude> among other things, i'm no supercollider expert so i don't know what NOVA_SIMD does; and i can't remember if athlon xp supports sse2 or just plain sse
02:20 < claude> Guest410: do you see sse2 in /proc/cpuinfo ?
02:20 < Guest410> http://
02:21 < claude> ah, that would be the problem then
"the athlon XP has SSE support, but no SSE 2 support for 32 bit athlons though its there for athlon 64's , and no, there is no patch for it and there never will be ... its a hardware thingy" -- http://
I think we should support AMD athlon-xp processors for Puredyne packages. Seems SC3 has a problem here.

Thanks, done this (eventually) in 3.4.4-0ubuntu2, by adding "SSE2=0" scons option to the rules. This should therefore be fixed in gazpacho as well as in the freshest ppa fruits.
