When changing password using gnome-about-me will never complete : waiting forever after the 2 passwords have been entered and clicked on "change password".

Hi,

In fact, I was able to change password. Problem occurs only when changing to a too similar password (for example from somepassword1 to somepassword2, only one letter changed).

Here is what passwd (in command line) says in that case : Bad: new password must be different than the old one

So the bug is only in the handling of passwd results....
Maybe passwd should not answer for password again.

Regards?

this is not a gnome-control-center issue so I have reassigned to passwd package for you.

affects: gnome-control-center (Ubuntu) → shadow (Ubuntu)
