Binary package hint: evince
Opening a pdf that has text with the first letter in italic and then selecting (highlighting) that text will show the whole selected text as italic.
Sample pdf attached to this bug report.
Just open the the sample pdf with evince and select (highlight) the text in the pdf with the mouse and the whole text is shown in italic instead of just the first letter.
