This worked fine last night and I did not make any changes (on purpose anyway). I tried removing ~.vlc and did not see a crash one time - but then i saw the crash again when i switched to the second stream. I think it may have to do with the data coming over the stream.
I am able to play local file and playlists with no trouble.
I am able to play the radioparadise mp3 stream with no trouble.
it's just the 64 bit AAC+ stream that causes the crash ( the 24bit stream is fine).

Strange.

I wonder if this is related to the strings not being translated. what if you launch from console after setting LANG=C for the console?

i don't think so - in fact i think it's something that happens when the
remote stream is not available.

I can't reproduce it at the moment because that stream is available.

Both streams play fine with vlc under Gutsy.
