GRUB should be graphical

Bug Description

While ubuntu is a very nice distro the installed grub is very ugly IMHO. For the next version a graphical mode should be included, which is also localized.
And what´s even more important, there should be a configuration program which lets you change the entries or auto-detect the configuration.

Another thing, it´s IMHO better to not install grub into the MBR but to keep the existing MBR, install grub into the root partition and make this partition active. This has the same effect but is more "standard compliant", and when you want to remove ubuntu you don´t have to restore a standard MBR but just delete the ubuntu partition and flag another one as active.

Note: the original reporter indicated the bug was in package 'grub'; however, that package was not published in Baltix.
