video can't play but sound can be heard

i have downloaded video in the format mp4 after that i double click on it in order to play that,but the video can't appeared but sound is heard by me.then i check most of the video i have same problem for all the format i also tried in vlc also but the same problem with that also.help me please urgent.thank you

Thanks for the report, it has been some time without any response or feedback in this bug report and we are wondering if this is still an issue for you with the latest release of Ubuntu the Natty Narwhal, May you please test with that version and comment back if you're still having or not the issue?
