Adept hangs after "Fetch Updates"

Binary package hint: adept

I'm using Dapper, fully updated.

(1) Start Adept and click on "Fetch Updates"

Note that when it's done, I get back to the screen where you can search for packages. However, although nothing is typed into the search line, it shows no packages.

(2) Type a letter in the search box
(3) Press back-space

At this point, Adept freezes and must be manually killed from the command-line.

Thank you for filing this bug. Could you try Edgy and/or Feisty and see if you still have this problem?

I don't recall having seen this problem in the recent past.
