Bug Description

The interface to set the time on a timer applet is non-intuitive. I couldn't figure out how to set it until I happened to stumble on a bug report here where somebody mentioned it. I think that in addition to the scrollwheel+keyboard shortcut stuff, when you right click on the applet, there should be a button that will take you to a dialog where you can set the timer.

Also, it would be helpful to have some kind of instructions for using the keyboard+mouse timer interface somewhere.

Ok, having the keyboard shortcuts on the wiki makes sense: not having a dialog box where you can set the timer does not.

Looks like I started a duplicate bug for this (and later marked it as such). I also opened an RFE for timer applet which implements easy time selection within Docky's no-additional-settings-dialog framework.
