Availability: In Universe, synced directly from Debian, no Ubuntu delta
Rationale: Dependency of python-daemon, which is itself needed for ltsp-client-core
Quality assurance: It's been tested and works properly at least for jetpipe
PTS: http://packages.qa.debian.org/p/python-lockfile.html (0 bugs), 1 bug in Ubuntu for Karmic which got fixed with Lucid.
Dependencies: Only depends on python and python-support
Standards compliance: Standard python packaging, done in Debian
Maintenance: Maintained in Debian, no plan for ubuntu-specific changes. Multiple uploads in over the last year.
Background information: Python module to easily implement locking, helps simplifying the code of other python scripts.
Security checks: No vulnerability that I could find.
Files: Single python script, no binaries
