unity problem: menu does'nt work (grayed out)

Binary package hint: anki

Using anki (current stable version 1.0.1) with unity desktop does'nt work well. The menu (File, Edit ...) stays inactive (grayed out) and can't be used. First I though, this would happen after using the auto-sync-function, but it always has this problem. The only way I found is, to delete the Anki configuration file and start with no conf-file. With Gnome desktop it works fine.

With the current dev-version (1.1.5) it is the same problem.

Anki 1.0.1-1 (manual installation), but also with 1.1.5 dev version

When you say you deleted the Anki configuration file and started with no conf-file... how exactly did you achieve that? I'm sorry but I'm starting on Linux, could you explain, please?
