Bug Description

Whilst trying to install cyphesis 0.5.25 from the .package file I get a syntax error:

james@Pheonix:~$ sh cyphesis-0.5.25.package
cyphesis-0.5.25.package: 36: Syntax error: "(" unexpected (expecting "fi")

I am not able to reproduce this issue.

Can you report what Linux platform, and version you are running on? It would also be useful to know what version of bash you are running.

I should add that even if we can confirm this bug, it is unlikely that we will be able to resolve it as the autopackage toolkit used to create this package is now unsupported.

I'm getting the same issues with Ember packages on Mandriva 2010.1. It's something caused by Autopackage, and as such there's not much we can do as that project is discontinued.

I agree with Erik. As the autopackage project has been terminated there is nothing much we can do to fix this issue.
We'll have to search for a viable similar solution.
