Bug Description
Synapse is not activated when cursor is in the area where synapse should appear, only happens when on a empty desktop (just gnome-panel and docky). When there is a window open on the desktop synapse is able to be activated underneath the cursor.
Actually only happens with compiz. With metacity and openbox it works fine.

I don't think its a duplicate, but maybe it has the same cause. In bug #685044 its about not stealing focus, for me synapse takes focus from the active window, but it will not show when I press ctrl+space on a desktop with no windows running and the mouse pointer in the area where synapse should be drawn. Maybe it is compiz 0.9.2 doing something to the shortcuts, but it works for kupfer, havent tried gnome-do yet.
